Full page, non-bleed ads: 7.25w x 9.625h
Full page bleed ad: live 7.25w x 10.25h, trim 8.375w x 10.875w, bleed 8.75w x 11.25 (add bleed on both sides to allow for left- or right-hand placement)
Half page horizontal ads: 7.25w x 4.5h (please do not set up with bleed)
Business card size: 3.5w x 2h
File Formats
We accept print-ready full color files at 300+ dpi at 100%. Outline all fonts and embed all images. Acceptable submission formats in order of preference: High res PDF (preferred). Others formats we accept: Full quality TIFF, JPG, or EPS.
We DO NOT accept files in Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, CorelDraw, QuarkXpress or Publisher. Insertions that do not meet our digital requirements will be sent back for revisions. All insertions are subject to approval for appropriate subject matter.
Notes for Designers and Copywriters
The shelf life for our magazines is long. The print editions are often referenced and shared by readers throughout the year. Digital (pdf) editions are permanently archived on our website. We recommend that you take this into account for special offers and the web links.
For ads tied to PBWC or PBWC Events: To mention PBWC in copy, correct usage is “Professional BusinessWomen of California” with no space between “Business” and “Women.” When mentioning PBWC’s magazine in the ad copy, please use “PBWC Connections” or “PBWC Connections magazine.”
Submitting YOUR AD FILES
Three required submission items: (1) your creative, (2) a print-ready full color logo, and (3) the website you would like to list on the back cover. Call 866-297-6070
to notify us that a file has been sent.
Email is fine, but for large files we recommend using a nifty free service called www.yousendit.com. FTP is also available. FTP client software may be needed. For questions or the server and login information for FTP just give us a call.
Advertisers are required to ship a hard copy proof and cd with these materials to PBWC Connections Magazine. Please call us for the shipping address. If you are sending overnight delivery, please sign so that it can be left at the door.
TOP PRODUCT/SERVICE LISTINGS, Career corner, event or marketplace listings
For top product/service section listings, submit high resolution product image, 25 words of text and website.
For job or event listings, submit 30-50w text including title/event name, web link and print-ready color logo.
For marketplace, submit company name, contact info, web address, logo, special offer and 50-100w text.
