PBWC added community advocate and
State Farm Insurance Companies veteran
Shirley Gordon to its Board of Directors.
When we asked what excites her
about joining the Board, she said, “the opportunity to network with other
dynamic women leaders and to support
other women and young girls who are
growing, learning and aspiring to greatness
wherever they are in their journey.”
A native of Alabama with a BS from
Hampton University and MBA from Illinois State University, Ms. Gordon
began her career with State Farm in 1973.
As Vice President of Operations, Gordon
is responsible for the CA Zone Human
Resources, Administrative Services,
Learning & Development, California
Leadership Academy, Agency Services,
Finance and Management Planning &
Information Departments. She is the
executive sponsor for CA Continuous
Renewal, Diversity & Inclusion and
People Development Strategy.
An active member of the community,
Ms. Gordon brings extensive experience
to PBWC. She serves on the boards
of the Northern California Center for
Wellness and the School of Business and
Economics Advisory of Sonoma State
University.
