PBWC Honors SF Bay Area's Best Companies for Women With 2007 Pacesetter Awards

At the Pacesetter awards ceremony in San Francisco attended by 5,000 members and supporters on May 1, Professional BusinessWomen of California paid tribute to Bay Area companies that demonstrate an outstanding commitment to advancing women in the workplace. PBWC Founder and former California State Senator Jackie Speier hosted the presentation of awards.

PBWC recognized other honorees: McKesson, Safeway, Sun Microsystems, Abbott Vascular, Genentech, Seagate, Sybase and Chevron.

Winners were selected based on the percent of women employees, executives,
and officers, plus factors such as diversity and flexibility programs.
